Fitment Level: OE Match / Platform Verified

Compatible with Ford diesel emission aftertreatment systems using OEM references:

  • JC3Z-5L239-C
  • 0281007523
  • HC3Z-5L239-D (superseded revision in some catalogs)
  • Ford service description: Diesel Particulate Matter Sensor Assembly

Typical applications include Ford heavy-duty diesel platforms such as:

  • Ford F-250 Super Duty 6.7L Power Stroke diesel (2017–2022)
  • Ford F-350 Super Duty 6.7L Power Stroke diesel
  • Ford F-450 Super Duty 6.7L Power Stroke diesel
  • Ford F-550 chassis cab 6.7L diesel (selected configurations)

This sensor is used in Ford DPF particulate matter monitoring systems, where it measures soot concentration downstream of the diesel particulate filter (DPF). The ECU uses this signal to evaluate DPF efficiency, manage regeneration cycles, and detect abnormal soot breakthrough conditions.

⚠️ Important:
This is a diesel particulate matter (PM) sensor, not a NOx sensor.
Although Ford sometimes groups it under “exhaust sensor assembly,” its core function is to detect soot after the DPF for regeneration control and emissions compliance.

Fitment must always be confirmed strictly by OEM number (JC3Z-5L239-C / 0281007523), as Ford Super Duty platforms may use different sensor revisions depending on engine calibration and model year.
